TRIBAL TRANSPORTATION PLANNING ORGANIZATION
Established in 2003 by the
Indian Tribes of Washington State
with support from WSDOT

The purpose of the organization is to support the development of tribal transportation planning capacity.  As envisioned, the TTPO improves Tribal government’s planning and programming activity through enhanced coordination with tribal, federal, state, and local governments. There are aspects of tribal transportation planning that are very unique in nature, both in comparison to other jurisdictions and also from one Tribe to another.  There is a common theme, partnership, and connection throughout the tribal transportation planning culture that the TTPO shares and celebrates.  This website is designed to provide useful information to Tribal Planners while encouraging communication, coordination, collaboration, and consultation between tribal planners.
